Who we are
This website is operated by Inogen Pty Ltd (ABN 73 691 280 467, ACN 691 280 467), an Australian company with its main business location in Queensland ("Inogen", "we" or "us"), which is responsible for the personal information handled through it. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and under Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection and the Law on Personal Data Protection.
What we collect
We collect personal information you choose to send us, for example by email or through the enquiry form. This may include your name, email address, phone number, the product you are interested in and your message.
Our website does not ask for health information. Please do not send patient or other sensitive information through this website.
Website data, cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and does not load fonts or scripts from third parties. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time). An IP address can be personal information. These logs are used only to operate and secure the website and prevent abuse, access to them is restricted, and they are kept only for the short period the hosting service retains them. Your own email provider may also process a message before it reaches us.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, supply products and provide technical support, to keep records required by law, and to improve our products and services. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
Your information may be read by our team members in Australia and in Vietnam so that the right person can respond, and shared with service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting (Fly.io, Sydney region), email providers and FormSubmit, which forwards enquiry-form submissions to our email. FormSubmit may process form data outside Australia and Vietnam. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. Because members of our team work in Vietnam, information collected in Australia is likely to be accessed from Vietnam, and the website is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Before disclosing information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles and Vietnamese law.
Consent
We handle the information you send us for the purposes stated in this policy. Where the law requires consent, including under Vietnamese law, we will ask for it clearly for each purpose before processing, and simply browsing the website is not treated as consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us in writing or by email; this does not affect handling that took place before you withdrew it, or handling we are required by law to continue.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing or writing to us; no particular form is required, and we may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days, and there is no charge for access or correction. If we refuse a request, we will explain why in writing and tell you how to complain.
Under Vietnamese law you also have the right to be informed, to consent and withdraw consent, to access and receive a copy of your data, to correct it, to request deletion, to restrict or object to processing, to complain, denounce or sue, to claim compensation and to protect yourself. Where Vietnamese law applies, requests to provide, delete, restrict or object to processing are handled within 72 hours, and corrections are made promptly or we explain within 72 hours why they cannot be made.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please send us a written complaint. We will acknowledge it, investigate and respond, normally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain in Australia to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or in Vietnam to the competent authority for personal data protection under the Ministry of Public Security.
